What Type Do You Need?

The Disease Control Center provides recommendations for those who travel. This differs based on each country you visit during your trip. The recommended vaccinations are those that provide protection from cross-border infectious diseases. This is a good idea to have but not required.

The vaccinations needed are governed by the International Health Regulations. This includes yellow fever vaccinations for those who travel to the tropics of South America and sub-Saharan Africa.

This is also a requirement for those traveling to Saudi Arabia to get meningococcal vaccination if they travel during the Hajj, an annual event where thousands of people meet in the area.
